Hollow victory for
Sharapova at Key Biscayne
KEY BISCAYNE, Fla. (AP) -- Sharapova drew boos for trotting to the bathroom, while
Tatiana Golovin won cheers when she limped off in defeat.
The two feisty 18-year-olds waged the most dramatic match
yet at the Nasdaq-100 Open. Sharapova blew a big lead, riled
the crowd and won Thursday night only when Golovin was
forced to retire in tears because of an ankle injury.
